Dial-Up Adapter and TCP/IP Setup

 

control.gif (17539 bytes) Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel
In the Control Panel select the Network Icon wpeB.jpg (37108 bytes)
wpeC.jpg (39404 bytes) In the Configuration window click add
Select Protocol  Click Add wpeE.jpg (19691 bytes)
wpeF.jpg (30823 bytes) Select Microsoft and TCP/IP

Click OK
Select TCP/IP

Click Properties

wpe11.jpg (29957 bytes) On the IP Address tab Obtain an IP address automatically
Select the DNS Configuration tab.

Disable DNS should be selected

wpe13.jpg (27409 bytes) Select the Gateway tab

There should not be any installed *gateways.

 

 

 

*Unless you are on a LAN system
Click OK  2-3 times until you are back to the Control Panel

Close the Control Panel.

You now have your TCP/IP setup.
