- tuned radio circuits (the foundation of radio as we know it today)
- high frequency AC generators (used to create the radio carrier waves and power fluorescent lighting with only one lead wire)
- submersible remote controlled submarine (this was patented before the year 1900!)
- improved DC electric motors
