Dual Mix with Splitters

The “Pros” use dual mix

• Separate mixer board for House and Recording Mix(And sometimes for Monitor Mix also!)
• Same mics and sources feed both mixer boards.
• House Mix board is in audience space to hear the House.
• Recording Mix board is elswhere to hear only the recording mix without interference.
• Each microphone and direct source is “split” to feed both mixer boards.

Mic Splitter

• A single microphone (or direct box) input
• Two (or more) isolated microphone outputs.
