Monitoring: Speakers & Headphones

• Speakers are better for monitor, but only:

  • In a separate room
  • Away from distraction & interference
  • Close enough to be in near-field

• Headphones should be used if:

  • In the same area as sources (location)
  • In control room where:
    • There is interference from director, etc.
    • Speaker is too far away for good monitoring
