Meters & Levels

• Audio meter is called “VU Meter”
• Can be traditional meter, or lights
• Reference level marked as 0 VU or 100%
• AVERAGE PEAKS should be at 0 VU
• If signal is too low, it will be too close to system noise (“Down in the mud.”)
• If signal is too high, it will be too close to clipping.
