Newbold

On Saturday we went to worship services at Newbold College in Bracknell, just about 10 miles south of Windsor. Lacy spent some time with her friend who is attending school there. That evening we attended the Evensong at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. Since we were at the head of the queue, we got to sit in the stalls alongside the choir. I hadn't attended a Church of England service before and was momentarily disoriented when the liturgy spoke of the "catholic church". Of course the CE is an offshoot of the RC church and the lower-case "catholic" in this case meant "universal". After the evensong, we had dinner in a nice Italian restaurant across the street from the Castle (in the next block up the hill from the Pizza Hut). The prices seemed reasonable until I later remembered that they were in Pounds. I forgot my wallet in the car and they held Lacy hostage while I retrieved it. (They fed her bread and water, however!)
