| What
does it Do? |
The Telephone Patch is what allows
TVCA to do live call-in shows.
- WHAT IS THE TELEPHONE
PATCH?
- A special piece of equipment
which links the telephone line to the audio mixer
- It connects to a special
telephone with an on/off switch
- It has two connections to the
Ramsa mixer:
- The signal from the telephone
line into the mixer
- The signal from the mixer to
the telephone line
- It is also referred to as the
"Telephone Hybrid"
- WHAT DOES THE PHONE
PATCH DO?
- It separates the incoming and
outgoing signals so they can be handled
separately.
- It extracts what the caller is
saying so we can feed it into the mixer
- It sends the studio mix to the
caller so he/she can hear the studio participants
