Operator's Job |
Audio is actually one of the more
demanding jobs in video production,
especially when it is done right!
- Set up and test all
studio microphones
- Set up and test
studio monitor speaker (if used)
- Test telephone patch
(if used)
- Listen for problems
(studio noise, bad mics or cables, etc)
You are PRIMARY audio quality checker,
director is dealing with other things!
- Adjust VCR inputs to
match mixer tone level (0dB)
- Adjust levels as
needed
- Turn pots up (without
upcut!) for mics in use
- Turn pots down for
mics not in use
- Job One: Watch level,
(others are watching the picture!)
